At our final quarterly funding round-up of 2019, held during the Chamber’s Open House at our new office, we tallied the votes and awarded this quarter’s funds to the Precious Bundles Clothing Assistance program, nominated by Emily Shandruk. We recently had a chance to present them with the Big Cheque for $2,600 and hear how they’ll use the money!
At our third quarterly funding round-up, held during the Chamber’s Member Social at the Thunder Bay Art Gallery, we tallied the votes and awarded this quarter’s funds to the Northwestern Ontario Women’s Centre, nominated by Karen Kerk from EcoSuperior/the Thunder Bay & Area Food Strategy. We recently had a chance to attend their next Packing Day and present them with the Big Cheque for $3100!
At our second quarterly funding round-up, held by Facebook Live from Shelter House, we learned that the group had voted to donate this quarter’s funds to Evergreen: A United Neighbourhood, nominated by Michael Quibell of St. Andrew’s Dew Drop Inn. Michael joined us last week at Evergreen to congratulate Linda and hand over the Big Cheque for $3500…
At our first quarterly meeting of 2019, held on February 20th at the Foundry, the group voted to donate to Shelter House’s SOS Program. We met with Michelle and Amber on March 1 to give them the good news…
