At our second quarterly funding round-up of 2020, the group voted to award our pooled funds to NorWest Community Health Centres’ Street Outreach Program, where they’ll help purchase a variety of supplies that will be distributed by the team from their outreach van.
At our first quarterly funding round-up of 2020, which was held on Facebook Live on March 18, the Dew Drop Inn was awarded the funding pool of $3300 to help pay for the installation of a fold-down receiving chute that lets volunteers easily move foodstuffs in and out of their basement cold-storage…
At our final quarterly funding round-up of 2019, held during the Chamber’s Open House at our new office, we tallied the votes and awarded this quarter’s funds to the Precious Bundles Clothing Assistance program, nominated by Emily Shandruk. We recently had a chance to present them with the Big Cheque for $2,600 and hear how they’ll use the money!
At our third quarterly funding round-up, held during the Chamber’s Member Social at the Thunder Bay Art Gallery, we tallied the votes and awarded this quarter’s funds to the Northwestern Ontario Women’s Centre, nominated by Karen Kerk from EcoSuperior/the Thunder Bay & Area Food Strategy. We recently had a chance to attend their next Packing Day and present them with the Big Cheque for $3100!
