Guided by the Board’s strategic plan, Charla leads the staff team and serves as a nexus for the political, organizational and business relationships we cultivate in support of our mission. A lifetime “political junkie,” Charla’s deep and broad connections to all three levels of government help us keep the business community abreast of issues as they develop. Though she seems to work round-the-clock on Chamber business, Charla does take time to relax and recharge, usually with a classic movie or one of her favourite British detective programs.

Tanya leads the Chamber’s membership development initiatives to further the interests of its members. A lifelong entrepreneur, her strong marketing & creative background give her a multi-faceted perspective to helping new and existing members get the most from their Chamber membership. When not at the Chamber, you will find Tanya spending time with her loved ones in Thunder Bay or one of her other “home towns.”

Possibly the best known of the Chamber team for her role at our reception desk, Hanna also assists the President, administers Chamber Board and Executive meetings and supports various committees and taskforces. She also helps to administer NOACC and assists at Chamber events and shows. Hanna is known for her kind and thoughtful personality and her ability to dig up almost any piece of information you could ask for. A wife, mother and grandmother, she loves to spend time with her grandkids, cheering them on in their activities, and enjoys reading and long walks with her husband and little dog, Ruby.

Emily is responsible for show and event coordination related to correspondence, general administration, marketing and exhibitor relations. Emily also organizes and administers the Chamber Golf Classic.

Born and raised just outside of Thunder Bay, Madeline is very passionate about the amazing things our city has to offer but also greatly appreciates everything outdoors. Madeline’s outgoing personality, creativity and resourcefulness make her a great fit as our Member Services Coordinator; managing events like After Business and Member Morning drop-ins is her passion. Volunteering is also very important to Madeline; she currently serves as Event Director on the Board of Directors for SHIFT: Thunder Bay and is the Youth Representative on the Thunder Bay Métis Council.
Mary Ann Agostino

During the summer, you can probably find Accounts Coordinator Mary Ann Agostino in her flower and vegetable garden when she’s not in the office. Mary Ann is responsible for the financial records for the Chamber of Commerce and our partners at the Northwestern Ontario Associated Chambers of Commerce, including reconciling accounts and preparing the financial statements for both organizations. At the Thunder Bay Chamber, she also assists with other office duties and provides support for shows & events as required – watch for Mary Ann’s smiling face as you check in for After Business or at one of our trade shows.

Driven by curiosity and a need to always be improving, Raili supports the team’s branding and strategic planning as we develop the tools and programs that help connect our Members with each other and our services. A part-timer with the Chamber, Raili also works as a research consultant in the food sector, a small-business communications consultant and a hobby farmer producing pork, eggs and vegetables.
