Join us at CIBC on Cumberland for an after work warm-up as we look forward to the end of winter.  Get to know our hosts and connect with other Members as you browse exhibits and enjoy delicious appetizers served by new Member Freelance Catering along with a cash bar.

Our BDC After Business events attract more than 100 business professionals looking to make new connections and grow existing relationships.  Our Members gather at a different venue each time to enjoy informal conversation, delicious appetizers and a cash bar.

Additionally, After Business events are a great venue to promote your products or services by exhibiting to your fellow Members. Exhibitor registration includes a draped table, (size dependent on venue) electrical service when available and two attendee registrations for the event.

Attendees’ registration for this event takes place at the door, cash only please.

December 2019 Recipient: Precious Bundles Children’s Clothing Assistance Program

At our final quarterly funding round-up of 2019, held during the Chamber’s Open House at our new office, we tallied the votes and awarded this quarter’s funds to the Precious Bundles Clothing Assistance program, nominated by Emily Shandruk. We recently had a chance to present them with the Big Cheque for $2,600 and hear how they’ll use the money!

Support for ERO# 019-1020, Proposed Changes to the Crown Forest Sustainability Act, 1994

Under ERO#019-1020, the MNRF is proposing a long-term approach that would no longer require duplicative authorizations or a regulatory exemption under the ESA for forest operations conducted in Crown forests in accordance with an approved forest management plan under the CFSA. In this letter to Troy Anthony, Crown Forests and Lands Policy Branch of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, the Thunder Bay Chamber outlines its support for the changes proposed in ERO#019-1020 and asks that it be approved and finalized as soon as possible.
