What does it mean to display the Wake the Giant decal in your window?  Led by the Wake the Giant team, this lunch event will help you and your team understand what it means to be a safe space, how to welcome Indigenous youth, and how to deal respectfully and safely with situations that may be difficult or uncomfortable.

Thanks to event sponsors ORIGIN and the Prince Arthur Waterfront Hotel, we’re able to offer this opportunity to Chamber Members at no charge.  Non-member registration is $10.  Please register in advance!

The Wake the Giant initiative invites local businesses and organizations to put a flag or window decal in their shop, proudly displaying the Wake The Giant logo. By doing so, local businesses and organizations are identifying their location as a ‘safe space,’ and are committing to teaching their employees and the community at large to be welcoming to indigenous youth.

Nearly 200 Thunder Bay businesses and organizations have committed to supporting the Wake the Giant since the initiative launched in March 2019.  Contact Wake the Giant to get involved here.
