For the fourth consecutive year, Research Infosource has named Lakehead University Canada’s Research University of the Year in the undergraduate university category.  More.

Researchers at Lakehead University have received new funding to work on projects ranging from the diagnosis of breast cancer to how habitat selection affects animals. In total, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada is providing more than $1.6 million in support of 14 faculty research projects and four graduate student awards.  Read more…

Carmen Blais, a Clinical Coordinator at Matawa Health Co-operative, has been awarded a 2018 Minister’s Medal for her dedicated efforts to improving health outcomes for Indigenous communities in Northwestern Ontario.  Matawa First Nations developed the Health Co-operative to provide collaborative and accountable health services to its member First Nations.
