Nuclear Waste Management Organization Partners with Chamber to Provide Masks and Sanitizer for Local Businesses

The Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce is supporting local small businesses by providing facemasks and hand sanitizer thanks to a $15,000 donation from the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO).

The Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce is supporting local small businesses by providing facemasks and hand sanitizer thanks to a $15,000 donation from the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO).

“Small businesses are facing significant, on-going costs for masks and sanitizer to ensure the safety of their clients and employees,” says Charla Robinson, President of the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce. “We welcome the assistance of NWMO to support businesses by providing these vital supplies.”

“We all have a role to play to combat the spread of COVID-19,” said Norman Sandberg, Relationship Manager, NWMO. “We are proud to partner with the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce to make personal protective equipment available to small business in Thunder Bay.”

The first delivery of masks and hand sanitizer to 15 organizations will be made on Friday, October 2. Small businesses that require masks can submit their request here.
