TBDHU recently updated the screening protocol for individuals entering any type of organization. The change is with respect to household contacts of people who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. Anyone with symptoms must self-isolate, however their household contacts are no longer required to self-isolate. They may attend school, go to work, and do other daily activities as long as they themselves do not have symptoms of COVID-19 and they have not been directed to isolate by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

As usual, everyone should monitor themselves for symptoms and should isolate and get tested if they do develop symptoms. Note that the recommendation for household members will change when there is more evidence of spread of the virus in the community.

Updated posters for public and staff entrances are now available in English and French at TBDHU.COM/workplaces/posters, as well as the active screening tool. Please replace the older versions with the new signage. If you require support with printing resources, please contact us.
