Our Ambassadors program is a great way to get engaged with the business community. Chamber Ambassadors are a highly visible group of volunteers who give their time to provide a crucial link between the Chamber, our Members and the community. Our Ambassadors are passionate about the Chamber and their involvement not only benefits our organization and the Members they meet through their activities, but their participation within the committee helps their own business exposure as well.

“My company and I are new to Thunder Bay and when asked to become a member of the Chamber’s Ambassador Task Force I was ecstatic. Being new to the city comes with challenges, meeting new people and getting your business out into the community. This is why I chose to serve as a liaison with other Chamber Members, to break out into the community in a meaningful way. Being a part of the Chamber connects you with like-minded individuals to foster meaningful participation within our community. My goal as an Ambassador is to support the Chamber and other Members and to build exposure for our Members businesses along with my own.”

“I am a sales representative with Royal Lepage Lannon Realty Brokerage, with a goal of helping sellers get their true value out of their home, and buyers stretch their dollars to afford more.
“I signed up to be an ambassador because, in a way, I have always been. I was raised in Thunder Bay, attended Lakehead University, and was a member of the inaugural Thunder Bay Chill soccer club. I spent 2002 through 2013 living in South Korea, working as a visiting professor at Keimyung University. I have always done my part extolling the beauty and benefits of living in Thunder Bay wherever I traveled. I returned to Canada and Thunder Bay when my son was born. It has always been my first choice city to raise my children. I feel this city has great potential, and a lot of room to grow. I’d like my family to be a part of it.”

“Being an Ambassador lets me help new Members engage in Chamber events and with each other. I know that going into a room full of people you don’t know can be overwhelming and I like making it easier for people. As a sales consultant, it’s my job to help people get talking. I value being a member of the Chamber family and having this opportunity to give back.”

“I see tremendous value in being an active member of the Chamber, and I love helping people make useful connections, so becoming a Chamber Ambassador was a natural fit for me. I also know that it can be daunting for new Members to come to events where they don’t know many people. Helping them get the most of their Membership and networking opportunities is good for all members, and it’s my pleasure to help in whatever ways I can.”
