COVID-19 Vaccine Bookings Now Open For All Children Aged Five to 11

Following Health Canada’s approval of the paediatric Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, children aged five to 11 will be eligible to book their appointment to receive the vaccine beginning Tuesday, November 23, 2021.

As of 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, children aged five to 11 across Ontario will be eligible to schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment through a variety of channels including the COVID-19 vaccination portal and contact centre, directly through public health units using their own booking system, participating pharmacies which individuals can find on Ontario’s website using the pharmacy locator, and select primary care providers.

Appointments for the CLE Coliseum clinic in Thunder Bay have been set up for the next few weeks and include evening and weekend options. In addition, appointments will be available at TBDHU-run clinics in some District Communities.

District Communities: Please visit the TBDHU website for dates and locations. Appointments can be booked through the provincial booking system or by calling 1-833-943-3900. Additional clinic dates will be added as they become available.

Please note that appointments are required. Walk-in option is not available.

Children 5 to 11 years of age, as well as anyone 12+ eligible for COVID-19 vaccine can also access immunization through select pharmacies, and many primary care providers.

For Indigenous community members and their families, the Ontario Native Women’s Association (ONWA) is opening their Mindinooyenh Health clinic and offering COVID-19 vaccine to those who are eligible including first, second dose and booster doses and will shortly be offering vaccine to children 5 to 11.
