Resolute has received three 2018 Stevies® from the International Business Awards® (IBA), including gold for Health, Safety and Environment Program of the Year for all of the United States and Canada for the second year in a row.

The Honourable Patty Hajdu, together with Parliamentary Secretary Don Rusnak, on behalf of the Honourable Ralph Goodale, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, announced $5.6 million in federal funding for a crime prevention project as one response to the Seven Youth Inquest that examined the deaths of seven Indigenous youth in Thunder Bay.
GoldCorp Inc.‘s Musselwhite Mine is working toward becoming a full-fledged smart mine with all the safety, cost-savings, and other benefits that come along with it. Its new Integrated Remote Operations Centre (IROC), which opened in Thunder Bay in June, allows operators, communications/dispatch personnel and supervisors to work at the mine virtually.
The Waterfront District Business Improvement Area is expanding by welcoming the largest business in the area into the fold in the hopes of further improving the downtown north core.  Thunder Bay city council approved a request by the BIA to expand its boundary to now include Gateway Casino.

The PARO Centre for Women’s Enterprise will receive $280,061 in funding for their project, “Collaborating for Transformation: Advancing Women’s Economic Security”. In this 36-month project, the organization will focus on understanding the gaps to the growth experienced by women-led businesses in Northern Ontario and will help better understand why many women- led enterprises start off well, but are unable to expand and grow. 

Mazda is the Automobile Journalist Association of Canada’s (AJAC) Most Awarded Car Brand in Canada for 2018. We are very proud that four of their vehicles won three awards! Mazda3: Best Small Car, Mazda3 Sport: Best Small Car, Mazda CX-5: Best Small Utility Vehicle, Mazda CX-9: Best Large Utility Vehicle.  Bravo!
