Candidate Profile: Jen Duggan (Itec 2000 Equipment Inc.)

Jen Duggan has a diverse background with practical experience in many fields such as finance, event planning, hiring, marketing and human resources.  With a passion for teamwork and harmony, she is a true team builder at heart.

Jen began her career with Itec 2000 Equipment Inc in 2010 as the main receptionist and bookkeeper as one of only 2 employees.  As the company grew, she decided to make a leap in 2019 and is currently the HR & Marketing Coordinator as well as the community liaison officer.

Under her Human Resource leadership, employee retention and engagement is up and the workforce continues to grow.  Itec 2000 now employs almost 40 individuals and counting!  Since taking on her new role, Jen has spear-headed an employee wellness program, Thunder Bay Chamber involvement, A United Way Employee contribution plan, acting as the Workplace Ambassador and numerous collaborative efforts and fundraisers with local companies and charities.  Itec 2000 serves and supports the essential industries of Forestry, Mining and Construction that are so important to the Northern Ontario economy.  Representing Itec 2000, Jen can bring a unique voice with a sometimes-underrepresented perspective.  

Jen believes that the businesses of Thunder Bay should always strive to operate in collaboration, as a team, building relationships, advocating for and mentoring each other and is excited at the possibility to be part of that environment.
