New Apprenticeship Recruiting Partnership "Lives Life Hands On" at Silvercity

Check out the short videos designed to engage youth in skilled trades!

For over 5 years, the Chamber’s Education, Training & Skills Development Taskforce has been working to promote the opportunities for a successful career in the skilled trades.  Our Pathways to a Career in the Skilled Trades event at local high schools has informed hundreds of students and their parents about the steps to become an apprentice and future labour market projections for trades positions.

This year, we are taking the initiative to the next level!  The Chamber is working in partnership with the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board, Lakehead Public Schools, Conseil Scolaires de District Catholique des Aurores Boreales, and the Local Employment Planning Council to promote skilled trades careers with a “Live Life Hands On” ad campaign in Silvercity Cineplex.
