100% of Newly-Elected Council Said "Yes" to the City of Opportunity Platform

Congratulations to our newly-elected Mayor and Council! The Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce is very pleased to see that all of the successful candidates said YES to all ten recommendations in the City of Opportunity platform. We look forward to working with the new Council to create a “culture of yes” at the City of Thunder Bay and in our community.

Designated Truck Route Issue to Come Before Council on Jan 14th

The issue of the Designated Truck Route will be discussed at the City Council meeting of the Committee of the Whole on January 14, 2019. The Chamber will be making a deputation and has prepared a memo to Council which outlines our concerns and questions under three headings: lack of evidence identifying problems with current policy; safety implications of the proposed changes; and gaps in the Designated Truck Route report.
